About Me

Daniel Walter Eaton is an accomplished sound designer, audio engineer, and composer whose work spans film, animation, interactive media, and immersive audio formats. He holds a BFA in Jazz Performance from the University of Wisconsin and an MFA in Experimental Sound and Integrated Media from CalArts. Based in Los Angeles since 2009, Daniel hails from the northern Midwest of the United States.

Daniel collaborates globally with animators, filmmakers, artists, companies, and universities, offering a full range of audio services—including sound design, re-recording mixing, audio branding, and audio post-production. His expertise extends from foley and sound editing to final mixes in stereo, surround sound, and immersive formats like Dolby Atmos and ambisonics.

Over the years, Daniel has contributed to thousands of projects that have earned numerous awards and recognition, often featured in prestigious art galleries, film festivals, museums, and universities worldwide.

More recently, Daniel has shifted his focus to building a world-class music mastering studio designed for critical listening. Using custom-built speakers, high-end analog equipment, and cutting-edge digital conversion, he has developed an obsession with acoustics and playback systems, creating a space that allows him to achieve the highest standards in sound.
