Custom Performance Max/MSP Patch

The Di-Morpher contains 2 stereo loopers with overdubbing. Each looper is connected to 2 stereo morphers that can be scrubbed with the function graph.  Additional morpher controls are through the animated xy graph.  Lines and shapes can be recorded or randomly generated manipulating the grains from the sampled loop and additional comb filtering.   I also added a delay on the input signal and a pitch shift delay on the summed output signal.  One unique feature of this patch is the “capture and clear” toggle. This allows me to record the whole patch into a new looped buffer and reset the patch back to it’s default.

Reverb and panning for extra.  All controls are assignable with the Trombduino, nano-controllers, and/or foot controllers in various configurations.

This is a live performance patch used for improvisation.

Used on the two Grampus Records and various solo recordings through out the 2014-2020 area along with some sound design work on a few animations.
